A man has died in a rollover crash east of Lewistown this past Thursday.

The incident happened around 7:24pm near mile marker 97 of U.S. highway 87, between Lewistown and Grass Range. According to the man was westbound on U.S. Highway 87.

He failed to negotiate a left-handed turn and went off the right side of the road.

The 34-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, alcohol, drugs, and speed are likely factors in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The man’s name has not been released.
