Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks' popular Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program offers classes for women to improve upon or learn new outdoor skills.  Women must be 18 years of age or older to attend.  Registration is open for these upcoming summer events:

  • July 9 in Missoula - Nature Journaling:  Slow down, observe and take note of nature. This class is for the beginner or experienced nature journalist.   You’ll learn to reflect on what you see in nature and express this in a journal.  Class will be held at Greenough Park in Missoula.

  • August 4-6 near Missoula – Summer BOW Workshop:  Participants choose four classes from a variety of topics including basic gun handling, rifle and shotgun training, map and compass, outdoor survival and more.  The workshop will be held at the Lubrecht Experimental Forest near Clearwater Junction.
